Whiteroom Films was born from a lifetime spent skiing, exploring, and creating in the mountains of Lake Tahoe.

I grew up skiing Squaw Valley—now Palisades Tahoe—from the time I was two years old. I later competed in freestyle moguls with the Squaw Valley Freestyle Team, coming of age in the mountains during the rise of the freeride revolution. Skiing wasn’t just a sport; it was the culture, community, and creative world that shaped the way I saw things.  That eventually led me to filmmaking.

After studying Film & Video Production at the University of Arizona, I returned to Tahoe and founded Whiteroom Films in 2010, during one of the Sierra's most legandary winters.

​

I spent nearly a decade leading video production at Palisades Tahoe while continuing to build Whiteroom Films, documenting the athletes, places, and stories at the center of mountain culture. Since then, the work has expanded far beyond skiing into documentary, commercial campaigns, fishing, live events, outdoor adventure, and stories throughout the West.

Today, Whiteroom Films is an independent production company specializing in outdoor, action, documentary, and brand storytelling. I work as a director, cinematographer, editor, and producer, often with small, highly mobile crews that can move quickly without sacrificing production value.

​

My work has included projects with Matchstick Productions, Palisades Tahoe, Grundéns, 5-Hour Energy, Powder Magazine, Specialized, Reese Fishing, Achieve Tahoe, Travel Nevada and other brands and organizations rooted in the outdoors.

​

The subject matter has evolved, but the approach is still grounded in where it started: knowing the environment, understanding the people in front of the camera, and creating films that feel authentic to the world they come from.
